Tamale International School has successfully held its first-ever Annual Teachers and Staff Awards Ceremony, an initiative by the School Board to recognize outstanding contributions to academic excellence and character development.
The event, which coincided with the school’s vacation day, took place on the school premises and brought together teachers, students, and key education stakeholders to celebrate the dedication and professionalism of both teaching and non-teaching staff.
In his keynote address, Engr. Dr. Jamal Deen Kukurah, Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), commended the staff for their pivotal role in shaping society.
“The impact of teachers cannot be overemphasized. Every profession is built on the foundation laid by a teacher. We must celebrate them,” he stated.
Engr. Dr. Jamal Deen Kukurah also announced plans by the School Board to enhance staff performance through capacity building workshops and infrastructural improvements. He expressed appreciation to the school’s leadership and the Sagnarigu Municipal Education Directorate for their continued support.
Headmistress Madam Rita Wepea described the occasion as a celebration of excellence and dedication. “This is not just an award event. It is a gesture of gratitude and a testimony to the powerful impact teachers make,” she said, congratulating all awardees and staff.
